As we enter "pinky" season we get lots of calls. Pinky is a term for newborn baby Squirrels. They are all pink and look like little pink aliens. They look alot like baby mice and are often confused for mice. The easiest way to tell if it is a squirrel is they will have black finger nails. These baby Squirrels require lots of care with proper heating and humidity in a incubator. They also require special formula and ni***es that rehabers have. Feeding is ever 2 hours 24 hours a day. It is very labor intensive. If you find a pinky please contact a rehabber as soon as possible.

Thank you all for supporting our passion here at the Squirrel Refuge.
Baby season is just around the corner and soon our phone will be ringing with new babies coming in daily (sometimes 10 a day). We can't help many babies without your support. I know we post about donations and needing help a lot. But without your donations and our fundraisers there is now way we can help as many as we do. We are always needing formula, fleece, veggies (for the bigger ones), ni***es, meds, vet visits and much more.
