Scam alert! Customers are receiving calls from scammers who say they work for Clark Public Utilities asking for payment and threatening disconnection. Calls may even appear to come from the utility’s number but the caller ID is spoofed by the scammers and can be very convincing.

While the utility may call customers with outstanding balances, it should never be a surprise and if there’s any question please hang up immediately and call customer service directly at 360-992-3000 to check the status of your account.

Please be safe and help us spread the word, especially to the elderly and non-English speakers.

5/12/26 10 a.m. update: boil notice has been lifted and is no longer in effect. Water in your household may be used as normal without boiling.

Alert: A Boil Water Notice has been issued to customers in the NE Clark County area of Rock Creek Rd. and Lewisville Highway while repairs to a water main break are underway. Customers currently affected by the Lower Valley View water outage and boil water advisory will be contacted by phone call to the number on file and are advised to bring water fully to a boil for one minute and then cool before drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, washing dishes or preparing food until further notice. Customers affected will be contacted directly as additional information is known and can call 360-992-3000 to update contact information if phone numbers on file are not current.

The boil water notice is a standard response to loss of pressure on a water system due to a main break and is a precaution to avoid possible illness from system contamination.

The Guess the Hatch Date contest is now live! The first 1,000 guessers who submit an entry and provide a mailing address will receive a commemorative OspreyWatch 2026 sticker!
And our winning baby birds of prey predictors will receive an 18×24 Osprey Watch poster!
Submit your guesses through this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7TWHPMC
The details and fine print:
1. We THINK the eggs first appeared on or around April 8, April 11 and April 15.
2. Our in-house Osprey watchers will be keeping an eye on the live feed during waking hours, but anyone who happens to see a hatched egg is encouraged to take a photo with a timestamp (visible clock/date in corner of computer monitor works) and post it to one of our social media platforms.
3. Guesses must be submitted through the Survey Monkey link provided above – predictions posted here or sent in any way other than Survey Monkey are not considered valid. Plus, don’t you want to keep your brilliant submissions a secret?
4. CONTENT WARNING: The stars of Osprey Watch 2026 are live and can be somewhat unpredictable. While we’re all hoping for a wholesome and positive outcome, it’s also possible that the eggs may not hatch, the birds may not survive or there may be a number of unpleasant endings. Please note that there’s no way for us to know what’s to come or to filter content in real time, but whatever happens may not be suitable for sensitive viewers.

This past weekend, more than 100 employee and community volunteers came together to plant nearly 1,000 native trees and shrubs during Clark Public Utilities’ annual StreamTeam Earth Day event at Columbia Springs.

Held in partnership with Columbia Springs, the event made a meaningful contribution to our ongoing environmental restoration efforts to support long‑term habitat health and water quality in the area. A big thank you to all who came out and participated!
