This month, we celebrate LGBTQ+ youth, families, staff and community members.

Today is World No To***co Day 🚭 — and it's a timely reminder that prevention conversations belong in classrooms, at kitchen tables, and in our communities every single day. The more informed our parents and educators are, the better equipped they are to have these conversations. Talk to the young people in your life. Early conversations save lives. ***coDay

Thalia Williams, Community Prevention Project Manager, talks about the most meaningful part of her work in prevention:
“In prevention work, results aren't always immediate. Change takes time, strong partnerships, and deep dedication. But the long-term impact is incredibly rewarding. Seeing a steady decline in youth substance use over time is the ultimate validation, and it's neat to know I played a part in that progress.”

This , remember: Saving lives starts at home. 🔒
Locking up medications benefits everyone’s health and well-being and can save lives just like helmets and seatbelts. In fact, the single most effective way to prevent accidental poisonings overdoses, and misuse from prescription and over-the-counter medications is investing in a locking cabinet, drawer or lockbox to store them safely at home. Connection helps prevention take root. 💬
On April 21, 112 attendees gathered for the Elevate Youth Prevention Summit, a day focused on youth leadership, wellness and healthy choices.
This year’s theme, “Be Your Own Bestie,” encouraged students to reflect on self-worth, positive relationships and what it means to support themselves and others. Through peer-led conversations and interactive activities, students built confidence, made connections and learned from one another.
The summit created space for young people to feel seen, supported and empowered to lead in their schools and communities.
