We love it when we hear these words after someone takes their first shower in a while because we know we are playing a small part in honoring the Imago Dei of our neighbors. Imago Dei is Latin for Image of God. This is where our compassion is rooted at Friends of the Carpenter. As image bearers of God we believe that everyone is afforded the right to human dignity. In our corner of the world we practice that by providing free showers, laundry and a safe space to stay during the day for our neighbors that are without shelter. Want to help more of our friends feel human again? It’s the small things. We made this for our friends without housing so they don’t have to worry about a lost phone charger 😁 20 bays of fast charging for phones and small devices. Every bay is equipped with USB-C charging cables along with multiple bays that have lightning and micro USB charging cables.

Hello friends! This Saturday we'd love to experience Jim Fischer and Friends with you at First Presybterian Church in Vanouver. That's Saturday, December 20th at 3pm. This is always a great time to get the family or friends together right before Christmas to celebrate with song and support our work in the Vancouver community! The concert is free but we'd be thrilled if you'd consider a donation to help with our efforts 😀 We would also like to thank Collins Dentistry and Davidson & Associates Insurance Agency, Inc for sponsoring this wonderful time!

Hey friends! FOX 12 Oregon did a feature on the new restaurant Jawfishpdx that we provided some of the millwork for! We built the giant tree for the bar, all the big multi-material dividers panels, host booth, booth dividers, the hood for the aquafire place, birch applique on the doors for La Petite and all the top caps, end caps, trim, column wraps and the wavy dividers in different parts of the space. We're so grateful that they partnered with a non-profit seeking to do good in the community and also many thanks to Estes Custom Millwork for doing the install and allowing our work to see the light of day! And by the way their food is pretty dang good 😀
