Last week I introduced a bill to mandate s*xual health education in all public schools. It’s currently optional curriculum for schools, but my bill would make it mandatory.

Students in Vancouver and across the state have reached out in support and shared stories. My hope is that we take s*x ed to the next level by teaching our kids how to cultivate meaningful relationships based on mutual respect and appreciation.

Every student should have access to evidence-based, medically accurate, and age appropriate s*x and health education. Follow my bill HB 1407 and the Senate version SB 5395.

If we are losing teachers it also means fewer people are choosing teaching as a profession for the same reasons. The starving of education funding is placing our communities and nation in crisis today and in the future

Per Washington State Constitution, funding Basic K-12 Education is our Paramount Duty. This should be the #1 issue asked of state legislators

It all circles back to our state Revenue System desperately needing to be restructured, which is the #2 issue to address with our state legislators

Teachers are moving to better positions elsewhere.
