Extreme heat is in the forecast for Vancouver, with possible triple-digit temperatures expected through Tuesday.🌡️

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and check in on neighbors, friends, and family members who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

Daytime Cooling Centers are available at the following locations:

Live Love at Living Hope Church, 2711 NE Andresen
Days open: Sunday and Monday from 1:30-7 p.m.
Pets in kennels are allowed.

Mill Plain United Methodist Church, 15804 SE Mill Plain Blvd
Days open: Monday and Tuesday from 2-8 p.m.
pets welcome (leash or cage)

C-TRAN will not charge fares for those traveling to a cooling center who are unable to pay. All buses are air-conditioned.

Need assistance? Contact the Housing Hotline at 360-695-9677 for emergency shelter or housing support.

Vancouver is expected to grow by about 81,000 people by 2045.

On Monday, the City Council adopted an updated comprehensive plan and zoning code to help guide that growth. The plan and code support:
• More housing choices, affordability
• More jobs and economic opportunities
• Connected, walkable neighborhoods
• Protection of natural areas and the qualities that make Vancouver special

Changes will happen slowly over time, not all at once, as property owners bring forward projects in the years ahead and the City implements policies.
