NASA astronaut and retired U.S. Army Col Jeffrey Williams presented an overview of the International Space Station and his history with the space station at this weeks Fort Vancouver Composite Squadrons meeting. Col Williams spent a total of 534 days in space encompassing four tours at the space station, two as commander. Thank you for your service as well as an insightful presentation!

February 17, 2024 Fort Vancouver Composite Squadron held their Annual Banquet. Col Dolnick presented a number of awards, including the unit’s 2023 Quality Cadet Unit Award streamer and certificate. Several members were promoted and the formal change of command ceremony. Capt Gover formally assumed command from Lt Col Wiggs. It was a great evening thanks to the organizers that included Capt Nagaoka, Lt Gover, and the cadet staff. Thanks to everyone that participated. Stay tuned for next year!

Fort Vancouver gathered for SAREX training at Pearson Field in Vancouver Washington on Saturday march 3rd 2024. While the weather prevented air operations, it did not stop the dedicated Urban Direction Finding (UDF) team from going out and finding the PELT. The Incident Command team trained. A great day for everyone.

We joined the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Scouts, JROTC, and many others to place wreaths on veterans graves at the Vancouver Barracks National Cemetery. Hundreds of similar ceremonies took place across the country to honor our fallen. They will not be forgotten.
