Where: We will meet outdoors on the school property. Bring a lawn chair and a jacket

**Please note, the playground is not open during this meeting. While we want to accommodate as many parents as possible, we can not have children at tonight's meeting as we do not have childcare. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you tonight!

PICTURE DAY!
Hello Columbia Valley Families!

Our school picture days will be Thursday and Friday, March 25 & 26.

HYBRID STUDENTS: Students attending hybrid classes will go during their school attendance day with their cohort -- Cohort A on Thursday and Cohort B on Friday.

REMOTE STUDENTS will need to come to the school the afternoon of the 25th or 26th if they want a school photo taken. Please follow the schedule below according to your last name. If you are unable to come at your assigned time, please call the main office at 360-604-3375. Parents and other drivers, please park in the front school lot. There will be adults outside to help direct your student into the photography studio set up in the Commons. Parents and other guests are still not allowed inside the school building. We'll have socially distanced spaces for your child to stand while they wait for their photo.

You may come on either day during your assigned time slot below. We're sorry but we cannot accommodate hybrid students during these times. Hybrid students must go with their class on their school attendance day.

Hello Columbia Valley Students and Families.

In addition to community events and activities every year, the PTO provides financial support to the staff, school and students. In order to provide those resources, we do fundraising throughout the year. Our two biggest fundraisers are Payback Books and The Navigator Dash. The Dash is our biggest fundraising event. Unfortunately we were not able to hold the dash last year due to Covid and the school closure. That means that we need to be even more intentional and successful with our fundraising efforts this year.

We are kicking off fall with our ONLINE Payback book fundraiser! This fundraiser will run from September 11th thru October 2nd. The Payback Book is an amazing book full of coupons and discounts for the local businesses and restaurants.
The new Payback Book is BIGGER than last years book - and still sells for just $20! Some of the BIG names this year are La Sorrentina on 164th Ave, Barlows Public House on the Vancouver Waterfront, and YES, Chucks Produce and Natural Grocers also!

SPREAD THE WORD! Use the attached documents to help you reach your family and friends by posting on social media, face-time and sending emails to friends and family. STUDENTS - Always make sure your parent or guardian is present with you to help with and monitor any internet posting.

HOW IT WORKS? The process to buy is simple. To purchase the new 20/21 Payback Book, people simply go to www.paybackbook.com. Then, click on "Purchase a 20/21 Payback Book" and select "Referred by a School or Group? Click here!". Simply follow the easy steps - shipping address, payment info etc. The new Payback Book will be shipped to whatever shipping address the buyer entered. Shipping cost is $4.99, regardless of the number of books purchased!

HOW DOES OUR SCHOOL GET CREDIT FOR THE SALE? When someone clicks "Referred by a School or Group?", they just select your school from the list under "Please Select a School or Group". At the end of the fundraiser our school will receive 50% ($10) on each $20 book purchased!

STUDENT PRIZES! For EVERY 5 Payback Books a student (or their family!) sells, they earn a $5 gift card - WITH NO LIMIT! So, if a student sells 30 Payback Books, they get a $30 Amazon gift card. People can click on "Student Name" and enter the name of the student they wish to give credit for the sale to.

We know that everyone is getting adjusted to a new way of learning right now. So we want to say, THANK YOU, in advance for your support, time and effort. Together, as a community, we will work towards raising money to support our students and staff.

INFO - FIRST GENERAL PTO MEETING
Hello Columbia Valley Families!
Welcome back to school! It has been weird not being able to see everyone at the usual back to school night and the ice cream social. We hope that everyone is settling into virtual learning. As we navigate this new way of learning, there are still things that the PTO and Columbia Valley Community can be doing to support the students and staff. Because we are not able to hold our monthly PTO meetings in the library, we are going to try holding meetings via Zoom. Scroll down for information and access to the first Zoom meeting.
As a reminder... ALL are welcome to join the monthly PTO meetings. If you have a student at Columbia Valley, then YOU ARE ALREADY A MEMBER OF THE PTO.
Our monthly meetings are a great way to stay informed on things going on at the school, get info on upcoming events, view and discuss the budget, meet other parents/guardians, learn what the PTO does and how you can get involved. We hope all can join us. If you have questions or ideas you would like to share, we look forward to hearing from you.

Our next Yearbook pick up is Friday July 24th from 6pm-8pm, in the Columbia Valley parking lot. Please drive through like you would for normal student drop off and pick up. Please Stay in your vehicle and we will assist you car-side.
If you are not able to make this pick-up, books will be distributed in the fall when school is back in session.

The first pick-up day is this SUNDAY, JUNE 28Th from 2:00-4:00pm, in the Columbia Valley parking lot. Please drive through like you would for normal student drop off and pick up.
