Tonight is International Bat Night, a 30-year tradition of celebrating the world's bats, organized by Eurobats in 1997. Bats control mosquito and other insect populations, reduing diseases and keeping pests under control for agriculture. They are also pollinators. We can thank bats for healthier crops, more biodiversity, and more resilient ecosystems. Do you know why bats can hang upside down? Because their blood flows wingtip to wingtip instead of from head to toe.

We have a busy week ahead of us at the library!

Kicking it off, we will have Reptile Man joining us tomorrow at 2 pm at Firstenburg Community Center next door. This is our most popular performance of the year, so consider arriving early!
