49th Legislative District WA Democrats FIGHTING TO KEEP OUR DISTRICT BLUE! The Fighting Blue Forty-ninth is the Democratic redoubt that anchors the southwest corner of Washington.

We are bounded on the south and west by the Columbia River, on the east by Interstate 205 and on the north by a ragged line from the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge to 99th Street then back north to the confluence of Interstate 5 and Interstate 205. The shape of the district has not changed much in the new maps drawn by the state Redistricting Commission and endorsed by the Legislature. To add the 3,00

0 voters needed to balance the size of the other districts in the county, the 49th picks up all or parts of four precincts north of 99th Street and west of Hazel Dell Avenue including the neighborhood around Columbia River High School. Three new precincts were created in neighborhoods where population growth was particularly rapid over the past decade. OFFICERS:

Thanks to everyone who attended our monthly meeting. Thank you to Jane Van D**e and Gordon Matthews for agreeing to holding a forum for our members before making our recommendations in the Clark Public Utility Commission race. Thank you to Eric LaBrant and Patrick Adigweme for explaining the County Charter Amendments to our members so we could vote on the list as a body. Special thanks to Suzan Schwartz for checking in all of the attendees and being sure they were active members or PCOs with voting credentials. It was a productive and informative meeting.

The millionaires tax will benefit the entire state. At a time when we are losing federal monies this will be most beneficial.

The difference in priorities couldn't be more clear. We don't want to see families and children left out and left behind, and Washington Democrats are taxing the millionaires and billionaires so young children don't go hungry at school.

The accusations against Dr. Anthony Fauci, once the nation's leading infectious disease expert, have some experts worrying that these events may further erode public health staffing in the U.S.

It is more important than ever to vote for Democrats.

Trump claims there’s an “energy emergency,” while illegally blocking more than 155 wind projects nationwide, including five right here in WA.
The real energy emergency is Washingtonians struggling to afford their utility bills while Trump blocks cheaper, cleaner power. Thankfully, AG Nick Brown is fighting back to protect clean energy, good-paying jobs, and lower costs.
