JOB
The Fayette County Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking a detail-oriented and community-minded professional to support and advance our mission through education and outreach. If you enjoy balancing meaningful program work with hands-on administrative responsibilities and thrive in a service-focused environment, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to conservation efforts that make a real difference.

DUTIES
Plans, schedules, and delivers a variety of programs that include, but are not limited to: Participate in trainings and competitions at the county, area, and state levels. Assists the SWCD Board by preparing information for their monthly meetings, developing relevant publications and relaying necessary correspondence. Administrative Functions include, but not limited to: Prepare and maintain various SWCD financial records and forms QuickBooks online knowledge is required. Maintains all office files, records, procedure manuals, and data entry. Administer and facilitate board meetings. Prepare and review strategy plans, long range plans, quarterly billing, and other state-required and grant paperwork. Administration of District paperwork with state-funded grants and programs. Assists walk-in clients as needed and distribute relevant information, and/or direct them to the appropriate agency. Receive departmental calls, determines the nature of the inquiry, and direct callers to the appropriate staff or authority for assistance. Serves as liaison between various departments and boards; attends meetings and transcribes minutes. Produces, publishes and distributes the District's FaceBook Page, press releases, brochures, advertisements, monthly reports, and annual reports. Attends County department head meetings in absence of the District Director, attends SWCD, NRCS and other professional meetings, classes, workshops, lectures, as appropriate, to enhance and maintain knowledge of soil and water conservation practices, technical and administrative procedural changes with federal, state, and local requirements. Serves on professional committees as needed, performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma required. Ag education and/or background in ag preferred. Required Licenses or Certifications: Ability to obtain department specific certifications at the required deadlines. Driver's License valid in the State of Illinois. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of State of Illinois background check with required fingerprinting by Sheriff Office. Successful completion drug screening.

Beginning pay ($18.00-$21.00) depending on experience and skill, additional benefits will be discussed at time of interview.

Shagbark Hickory-2 trees for $8
4yr seedlings, 1-2 ft tall

Any extra tree’s will be cut down from the order in the order within the next 2 1/2 weeks

All trees are barefoot seedlings. They will be delivered around the second week in April, I will call as soon as they arrive.
