Vandalia Residents: Please Note a Temporary Change to Trash Pickup Times

For the remainder of this week, Rumpke trash collection crews will be picking up trash earlier in the day than usual as they work to avoid being outside during the hottest part of the day.

Residents are advised to place their trash at the curb the night before their scheduled pickup day to ensure it is collected.

It was a big day for Vandalia!

This morning we officially broke ground on the new Vandalia Public Works facility, located at 810 Northwoods Boulevard. The building will be more than 51,000 square feet and sit on a 421,000-square-foot lot.

The building is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
