The purpose of this site is for the City to share certain photos, video and information that the City deems to be of public interest to Vandalia residents, businesses, and visitors. The City of Vandalia has created this page as a way of facilitating communications with the community and to help the City achieve strategic goals. a) Reference or promote illegal or banned substances and narcotics (unless for public educational purposes). c) Reference or promote pornographic, sexually-oriented, or otherwise offensive materials. d) Reference or promote defamatory, libelous, offensive, or demeaning material. e) Reference or promote political campaigns. f) Contain disparaging/threatening comments about or related to anyone. g) Contain vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or matters that are offensive to a person with reasonable sensitivity or target or disparage age, race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sexual preference, handicapped or disabled, genetic information, or status as a veteran or disabled veteran of the U.S. armed forces. h) Are deemed to be spam. i) May infringe on copyrights or trademarks. Please note that the comments expressed on this site, other than those posted by the City of Vandalia do not reflect the opinions and position of the City of Vandalia or its officers and employees. The City reserves the right to discontinue this site at any time for any reason with or without notice. Further, the City also reserves the right to delete submissions that the City determines: (i) are clearly off topic; (iii) promote or oppose particular services, products, or political organizations and candidates; (iii) involve matters in litigation or otherwise in dispute, or that could be in the future; (iv) contain references to illegal or banned substances and narcotics unless for public educational purposes (v); are solicitations for business; or (vi) contain information that might compromise the safety or security of public buildings, personnel or activities. The City reserves the right to block or otherwise prohibit posting by an person that posts a submission that is deleted by the City pursuant to this paragraph.
