FAYETTE COUNTY TEDDY BEAR INITIATIVE

One of our local Corrections Officers, Mark Wiedau, heard on Joy FM (99.1) about prayer bears. These bears are donated by listeners of Joy FM.

Mark’s goal is to ensure that every child who has an open case in Fayette Co and is a ward of DCFS will recieve a bear. He wants to show them that they are loved and we, at Fayette County, are praying for them.

But it didnt stop there. We have attached badges to the bears and are presenting them to local police officers and dispatchers that operate in Fayette Co. We presented a set to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. We want them to know we are praying for them!

Thank you to Mark for this initiative! Your vision will provide comfort to hurting kids!
