🧪 Medical Laboratory Capabilities & Service Prioritization
The Vandenberg Clinic Medical Laboratory is currently operating with limited capabilities for specific laboratory orders, which may result in longer turnaround times.
To ensure timely results, members with laboratory orders from off-base providers are highly encouraged to utilize off-base commercial laboratories (such as LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics).
The base laboratory will prioritize processing based on Active-Duty status, medical necessity, and clinical urgency. Use the table below to anticipate potential wait times:
Expected Turnaround Time Laboratory Order Type
No Delay (Standard Turnaround) Urinalysis, Immunology (Flu, RSV, Strep, etc)
No Delay – Blood Related Tests Hemoglobin, Hgb/HCT, CBC/Diff
Potential Delays - Blood All other blood-related tests

🩺 Clinic Staffing Adjustments (Family Medicine & Pediatrics)
Due to unforeseen circumstances, both the Family Medicine Clinic and the Pediatrics Clinic will experience reduced provider availability over the next few weeks.
• Impact: This temporary staffing shortage may result in unexpected appointment cancellations or scheduling adjustments.
