Today was our Elementary Park Day for “X” on our ABC Countdown “eXtra Time Outside!”

The kids enjoyed a delicious lunch, beautiful weather, lots of time to play outside with friends, and ended the day with water balloons for even more fun!

It was a perfect day filled with sunshine, laughter, and great memories as we continue celebrating the end of an amazing school year!

Final Day of the 8th Grade Trip:

Day 4: The 8th graders hiked up the hill at Arlington National Cemetary and were able to watch the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, view the cityscape from in front of the Arlington House, and visit Kennedy's grave. Our last stop before having lunch and hitting the road was the beautiful 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon. Even though we had a busy week and returned to Hopewell-Louden at 10, our students were back in the classroom at 8 a.m., working on their D.C. reflections and scrapbook. I'd like to thank Ben, Liz, and Cindy for helping me with our kiddos this week, and we'd like to give a special shout-out to Angelo's Pizza in Carey for not only helping us fundraise this past fall, but for also providing us with gift certificates that we took advantage of today at lunch!
