Vanndale Fire Department is hosting a gun raffle. Buy a ticket(s) for a chance to win a Savage 220 with a KONUS scope and three boxes of Hornady Sabot Slugs. See any member of the fire department to buy a ticket(s). $5 for one or 5 for $20. The winner will be announced on Saturday, December 10th at the Wynne Downtown Christmas Parade. You’ve probably seen road signs advising that bridges freeze before roads, but do you know why? Having open air underneath the bridge means the cold air surrounds the bridge both above and below.
If there’s even the chance that a bridge might be frozen, SLOW DOWN! And do it before you cross the bridge — changing speed on ice is dangerous.
