Rebecca Evans from Hampton County

Hi there! I’m Rebecca!
I am a kindergarten teacher at Fennell Elementary Magnet School in Hampton County, and this year marks my 12th year in education. I feel incredibly blessed to spend my days helping young learners discover, grow, and shine. I love sharing my joy for learning with others, and helping my students grow into curious, creative, and confident learners is truly my passion.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and exploring new places, being out on the water, and cheering on the Gamecocks!
I am so excited to serve as an Ag Ambassador this year and give you all a glimpse into how I incorporate agriculture lessons and experiences into our classroom instruction. I can’t wait to share our learning "ag"-ventures with you!

From learning to count in our earliest grades to diving deep into literary themes in middle school, great things are happening across Hampton County School District every day!

Our students are building strong foundations, growing their skills, and challenging themselves through engaging lessons and hands-on learning. Whether they're mastering numbers, strengthening reading skills, collaborating with classmates, or analyzing the deeper meaning behind a story, each lesson is helping prepare them for future success.

We are proud of the hard work taking place in classrooms across our district and grateful for our dedicated teachers who make learning come alive. Keep up the great work, HCSD. Your growth and achievements inspire us every day!

Hampton County School District will be holding Referendum Education Outreach Meetings September 22nd, 24th, 28th, and 30th. Join us to learn more about the upcoming referendum, hear about the district's plans for the future, and ask questions. We encourage all community members to attend!

First we have Faith Smith from Hampton County.

Hello friends! I’m Faith! 👋🏼

This will be my 8th year in education. I spent five years teaching 3rd and 4th grade before making the move into the library. In May 2026, I graduated with my Masters in Library Science, and I'm now a School Media Specialist at two awesome elementary schools in Hampton County! 💙💛

I’m so excited to be partnering with Ag in the Classroom and sharing this adventure along the way! I’ll be learning, exploring, and finding fun ways to bring agriculture into our schools while helping our students discover more about where their food comes from and how agriculture connects to our everyday lives. 🌱🌾 I can’t wait to share the activities, lessons, and experiences we have along the way!

I’m looking forward to learning with our students and seeing where this new adventure takes us!

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Deputy Samuel Holmes. Deputy Holmes faithfully served as the School Resource Officer at North District Middle School, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of students, staff, and families. He was deeply loved and respected by the school community, and his kindness, dedication, and genuine care for others will not be forgotten. His vibrant smile, steady presence, and commitment to keeping our students safe and supported will be greatly missed. The Hampton County School District extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
