2026 NDMS Promotion Ceremony

The 2026 NDMS Promotion Ceremony was a special celebration of our students’ hard work and achievements as they prepare for the next chapter in high school. We extend our sincere thanks to Pastor Heyward Evans for his inspiring message, Brittany Sanders for her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem, and the HCHS ROTC Color Guard for adding honor and professionalism to the event.

SC Ready State Assessments 📚✏️

7th Grade:
ELA (Writing) - May 6th
ELA (Reading) - May 7th
Math - May 21st

8th Grade:
ELA (Writing) - May 12th
ELA (Reading) - May 13th
Math - May 20th

As we approach the upcoming state assessments, we would like to share important information to help ensure a smooth and successful testing experience for all students. These assessments are administered in accordance with guidelines set by the South Carolina Department of Education.

Testing Preparation Reminders:

Arrive On Time ⏰
It is essential that students arrive at school on time each day of testing. Late arrivals disrupt the testing environment and may result in students being unable to test with their class.

Get a Good Night's Rest 💤
Adequate sleep is critical for student focus and performance. Please help your student maintain a consistent bedtime routine during the testing period.

Eat a Balanced Breakfast 🍳
A healthy breakfast helps students stay energized and attentive. We encourage all students to eat a nutritious meal each day.

Electronic Device Policy 📲
Please be reminded that students are not allowed to have any electronic devices in their possession during testing. This includes but is not limited to: cell phones, smart watches, wireless headphones, and etc. Having such devices is considered a testing violation and will result in serious consequences, including the invalidation of test scores. Please discuss the importance of this policy with your student!
