Join us for a special **online** Dolly Parton Story Time this Wednesday, 9/2, to celebrate her life and legacy. We’ll share stories, songs, and early literacy games inspired by Dolly's belief that every child should have books of their own.

We're so sad to hear of the passing of literary champion and legend, Dolly Parton. She inspired countless young readers with her Imagination Library, and her impact on early learning and literacy is truly immeasurable. The next Vashon Nonprofit Roundtable is Wednesday, August 26th, 12:00pm at the Vashon Library.

Nonprofit organizations are invited to a monthly roundtable discussion. Each gathering includes topics determined by attendees, opportunities to share upcoming events, and resources and networking. Meetings are monthly on the last Wednesday of the month, January - October.

Write a story this summer!

Begin your story with the phrase "One time in the forest" and take it from there. The sky's the limit for what happens next! Pick up a template at the library on which to write your final draft and add any illustration you'd like to include.

On August 25 at 6pm, come to the Vashon Library to share your story with others, and have the opportunity to add it to a compilation that will be included in the Vashon Young Author Collection.

The next Fiber Arts Meetup is Tuesday, August 11th, 6pm at the Vashon Library! Join other fiber arts enthusiasts! Bring whatever you are working on -- knitting, crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, felting, etc. Share ideas, problem-solve together and celebrate completed projects! No experience required.

Youth and adults welcome. Ages 12 and younger with adult.

We had so much fun at Stuffie Campout this evening!

The stuffies explored the library and then snuggled down with Library Bear in his summer tent. Good night stuffes! We hope you had fun. ⛺😴⭐

Bring your stuffie to the library for a fun camping-themed story time. Afterward, make a simple craft together. If you like, your stuffie can camp out at the library overnight and be picked up in the morning.
