Crains Creek Fire Department Crains Creek Fire-Rescue provides emergency services to both Harnett and Moore Counties in North Carolina. We are a combination of both paid and volunteers.

We pride our selves with the service we provide with an ISO class 3 rating.

Notice:
A wildfire is currently reported in the vicinity of Highway 690 and Gravel Pit Road. Exercise caution due to heavy smoke in the area, which is crossing onto Highway 690. Motorists are advised to use caution or consider alternative routes. Hwy690 is currently one lane of traffic. We saw two accidents almost happen within 5minutes with people trying to pass other cars

Please use caution! We have been having a lot of wildfires the last couple days. It is very dry out and with the light winds the fire spreads quickly

🚒 HIGH FIRE DANGER: I sound like a broken record at this point, but High Fire Danger to Very High Fire Danger is returning to Central and Eastern sections of the state on Thursday. The combination of a very gusty southwest wind and extremely dry fuels, due to the ongoing severe drought in many areas outside the mountains, will lead to high fire danger on Thursday!

Dry grasses, dead leaves, and other tree litter could easily ignite and spread fire quickly. Folks in this area are urged to properly dispose of cigarette butts, matches, and any other flammable items in appropriate containers. Exercise caution if operating any equipment that could create sparks, and keep vehicles off of dry leaves and grass.
