Taylor Harty from the Jervey Library was a recent speaker. Taylor filled us in on the children /youth programs available this summer. Many thanks to Becky, from the Venice Theater and Pinky Players for the interactive program with the members of the Haven South AKtion Club. The members had a great time while using their imagination as they imagined being on stage at the theater.

We welcomed Meredith Burns, Children's Librarian at the Jacaranda Library, at our meeting on June 10th. Meredith was given a check for $500 for the children's summer program at the library. Jacaranda Library offers free programs for "littles" to teens. Check out information on their website to join in these programs and become involved with their summer reading program. Children can win prizes not only through the library but also "Reading with Rays".

Many thanks to Judi Bidwick for her visit to our meeting this past week. the Auxiliary began in 1939. Judi has been in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 28 years. Auxiliary members pay $70/year and are trained to Coast Guard Standards. Classes for anyone interested are offered onsite and also online.
