๐ŸŒŠ Help Protect the Santa Clara River Estuary and Ventura River Estuary

The Santa Clara River Estuary and Ventura River Estuary are unique and sensitive ecosystem that provides important habitat for fish, birds, and other wildlife. When the sand berm is intentionally breached, it can cause the estuary to drain rapidly, disrupting this habitat and potentially leaving aquatic species stranded.

๐Ÿšซ Please do not dig, cut, or create openings in the sand berm. What may seem like a small action can have a significant impact on the watershed and the wildlife that depend on it.

๐Ÿ’™ Help us protect Venturaโ€™s waterways and the natural habitats that make our community special. Please leave the berm undisturbed and allow natural processes to take place.
