Thank you to IG user firebirdaviationphotos for these excellent photos of Tanker 140 (N130CG) working the Aries Fire in San Bernardino yesterday.

Tanker 140 supported multiple incidents throughout the day, including the Nevada Fire earlier, before transitioning to the Aries Fire where it completed two drops in support of suppression efforts.

UPDATE: Due to rainfall earlier this week, an additional day has been added to the prescribed burn operations at Fort Hunter Liggett.

Today’s burn block will be highly visible from the Jolon Road area. Motorists are advised to use caution if Jolon Road is part of their daily commute, as smoke may impact visibility along the roadway.

These prescribed burns help reduce hazardous vegetation and improve landscape resiliency while supporting military training operations.
