For many, Valentine Road marked the end of homelessness and the beginning of a new chapter rooted in community, support, and opportunity.

As resident Patrick shared, “This is not just a community. This is now my extended family. We started from the river bottom and we are now here.”

Today, residents like Patrick have access to on-site services including case management, mental health support, employment assistance, art programming, a community garden, a lending library, and more. But beyond the amenities, this development has become something even more meaningful: a place where people can belong.

Our team recently traded the office for the outdoors at Arroyo Verde Park for our staff barbecue.

It was a great afternoon filled with good food, laughter, and time to connect outside of the workday. Moments like these help strengthen the relationships that make our team so special.

This beautiful mural is now visible from Victoria Avenue and is helping transform Valentine Road Apartments into a vibrant and welcoming part of the Ventura community.

The Telephone Road playground has a whole new look! Thanks to a Playground Rehabilitation Grant from the City of Ventura - Government, this revitalized space is now safer, more accessible, and designed for even more fun.

This playground is one of four Ventura Housing communities receiving exciting upgrades that create welcoming spaces where children can play, families can gather, and neighbors can build lasting memories.

What a day celebrating students, families, and the start of a new school year.

Thank you to everyone who joined Ventura Housing's annual Back-to-School Resource Fair at Westview. Centered around the theme Strong Families, Strong Futures, the event connected families with educational opportunities, health and wellness resources, workforce development programs, mental health services, youth enrichment activities, and more.

From free backpacks, school supplies, meals, and entertainment to direct access to more than 20 community organizations, this event helped students start the school year prepared for success.
