Last week, we doubled down on the gratitude. It’s time to celebrate the leaders who keep our ship sailing and the healers who keep us on our feet!
School Principal’s Day
A massive shoutout to our fearless leader, Principal Whitworth! Thank you for showing up every day with a vision for our students and a heart for our community. Whether you're navigating the car line, visiting classrooms, or making the "big decisions," you do it all with grace and a smile. Venus Elementary wouldn't be the same without your leadership!
National School Nurse Day
Sending all the love to our wonderful Nurse McCabe! From the "magic ice packs" and Band-Aids to keeping our campus healthy and safe, you are our frontline hero. Thank you for your patience, your calm spirit, and for being the friendly face our students need when they aren't feeling their best.

Last week, Venus Elementary traveled back to the 1990s to celebrate our favorite MVPs! Whether they were channeling their inner Miss Frizzle or rocking a Saved by the Bell look, our teachers prove every day that learning is never "old school."

What an INCREDIBLE time we had last week at Venus Elementary!
Our hallways have been buzzing with energy, creativity, and a whole lot of gratitude. From masterpieces to creature features, we’ve been busy making memories! Check out our weekly recap below:
Monday: Fine Arts Night
We kicked things off with a gallery-worthy showcase! From stunning sketches to musical performances, our talented students proved that creativity has no bounds. A huge thank you to our amazing art and music teachers for fostering such a vibrant culture of expression.
Tuesday: School Bus Driver Appreciation Day
Our day starts and ends with our favorite road warriors! We showered our bus drivers with love and thanks for keeping our students safe every single day. They truly go the extra mile (literally!).
Wednesday: Science Day
Venus turned into a giant laboratory! Students donned their goggles to explore chemical reactions, engineering challenges, and the wonders of the natural world. Curiosity was at an all-time high!
Thursday: School Lunch Hero Day
Not all heroes wear capes—some wear aprons! We celebrated our cafeteria staff for fueling our bodies and our minds. Thank you for the smiles and the delicious meals that keep us going.

FIELD DAY 2026: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
What a day to be a Bulldog! Our 2026 Field Day was officially one for the history books. From the first whistle to the final ice cup, the energy at Venus Elementary was absolutely electric.
We saw incredible sportsmanship, some very competitive (and slightly chaotic) tug-of-war matches, and enough school spirit to power all of Venus, Texas!
Field Day Highlights:
The Kona Ice: Always a fan favorite—especially with today’s Texas sunshine!
Speed Racers: Our students truly flew through the obstacle courses and 50-yard dashes.
Teamwork in Action: Seeing our older students cheer on the little ones was the highlight of the morning.
The Volunteer Crew: A massive thank you to our high school and parent volunteers who kept the water flowing and the stations running smoothly.
