A heartfelt thank you to our Venus Primary PTO for their very generous donation to support literacy at VPS! Their gift includes 570 dry erase boards, 8,032 magnetic letters, 33,858 Spanish magnetic alphabet tiles, and 500 dry erase markers to support English and Spanish phonics instruction in Pre-K through first grade.
These hands-on materials give our students more opportunities to connect letters with sounds, blend sounds into words, and develop strong decoding skills. Each time a child builds a word, sounds it out, and proudly reads it, they are building confidence and a foundation for learning that will serve them throughout their education.
To our PTO, thank you for investing in our students and supporting the work our teachers do every day. To every parent, family member, and community member who supports a fundraiser, this is what your generosity makes possible. You are helping put meaningful learning tools into our children’s hands, and we are so grateful for your partnership.
