Uintah County Republican Party – 2026 Convention Results
What an incredible night for Republican grassroots leadership in Uintah County. Our delegates showed up, engaged, and made their voices heard. Their work strengthens our party and ensures that the candidates moving forward truly reflect the will of our local Republican base.
We congratulate all of our Convention Winners and those advancing to the Primary:
• County Commissioner A:

Matthew Wilber – Proceeding to the Primary
(Randy L. Vincent and Richard J. Powell were eliminated by delegates)
• County Commissioner B:
Joe McKea – Proceeding to the Primary
Danny Harrell – Proceeding to the Primary
(James Story and Guy S. Collett were eliminated by delegates)
• Clerk/Auditor:
Margie Shewell – Proceeding to the Primary

Our party proudly supports the candidates chosen by our delegates—both those who won outright and those who earned their place on the Primary ballot through the convention process. These individuals honored the grassroots by standing before the delegates and earning their support.
We also reaffirm an important principle:
The Uintah County Republican Party does not support candidates who were eliminated at convention and then choose to bypass the delegates by gathering signatures. Our delegates are the backbone of this party, and their decisions matter.
Thank you to every delegate, volunteer, and candidate who made this convention a success. Together, we continue to build a strong, principled Republican Party in Uintah County.
