Our next CASA volunteer training class begins June 22, and only 2 people have signed up so far.

In about 30 hours of training, you can become the consistent adult voice a child in foster care desperately needs.

If you’ve ever thought, “I want to help, but I don’t know how,” this is your sign.

As CASA volunteer Jane Williams retires, we’re reflecting on the extraordinary impact one caring adult can make. A family she advocated for shared this touching message after recently finalizing another adoption — proof that the love and support CASA volunteers give can stay with children forever.

April was a busy month for CASA! Not only was it April Child Abuse Prevention Month, but it was also Volunteer Appreciation Month. We want to shout out three local companies that supported us with both.

We are grateful to:
• for fundraising over $2,000 for CASA to purchase Gas Gift cards to help ease the burden on our CASA volunteers (who drive their own vehicles to their CASA youth visits)

• for putting together summer activity kits for our CASA youth

•Plexus in Buffalo Grove for inviting us to present an info session on CASA at their office so we can spread awareness of our work in the community

And an extra kudos to the employees at all three companies for hand-writing the sweetest and most creative thank-you notes to each of our volunteers to help them feel extra appreciated by the community!

We are grateful to have such caring neighbors that see a need and meet it.

Your car could help change a child’s story 🚗💙

Become the next CASA Car for a month and help spread awareness for children in foster care everywhere you go — from coffee runs to school pickup lines to grocery trips.

We provide the removable decals. You provide the car. That’s it.

By simply living your everyday life, you could help CASA Lake County reach future volunteers and supporters throughout our community. Plus, the magnetic signs even help protect your car from little dings and scrapes 👀✨

Each month, we’ll select a new CASA Car and “CASA-fy” it at our office!

What an incredible evening at our first-ever Concert for CASA! 🎶🤍

On April 16, our community came together for a beautiful night of music in support of children experiencing abuse and neglect in Lake County — and together, we raised over $2,700 for CASA Lake County!

A heartfelt thank you to the talented Kim Family of Musicians — Dr. Jun Kim, Dr. You-Seong Kim, and Noah Kim — as well as the Avelira Quartet and MIC Piano Trio from the Music Institute of Chicago Academy for sharing their incredible gifts with us.

We’re also deeply grateful to for generously donating the event space, and to , , and for donating refreshments for our guests.

Thank you as well to .wellness for donating 100% of proceeds from onsite flower sales to CASA, and to Chris Ching and Salvador Ibarra for generously donating their photography and videography services.

We are so thankful to everyone who attended, performed, donated, volunteered, and helped make this special evening possible. ✨
