Sometimes support looks like something as simple — and lifesaving — as a car seat.
For years, when CASA Lake County has had a family in need of a car seat, we’ve known exactly who to call: Buckle Up Babes.
What started in 2009 after a simple question from a young Girl Scout — “What happens if people can’t afford car seats?” — turned into a grassroots effort that has helped countless local families stay safe.
Founded by Kerri Ash and her family and supported by friends, neighbors, and family, Buckle Up Babes has quietly shown up for our children and families year after year. When we have a need, Kerri answers the call — often personally delivering a car seat herself.
Because of supporters like Buckle Up Babes, families facing difficult circumstances have one less thing to worry about and children have a safer ride home.
Please join us in thanking Kerri Ash and the Buckle Up Babes community for years of kindness, generosity, and showing up for families when they need it most. 💙
