Democrats Campaign Committee leadership condemns “hateful” post targeting the LBGTQ+ community posted by the Republican candidate for the 50th House district:

"The CT Republican candidate in the 50th House District kicked off Pride Month with a series of hateful posts targeting entire LGBTQ+ community.
Jadon MacCormack’s small-mindedness and little ideas are on full display as he ignore’s the historic significance of June as Pride Month and the fact that CT is a state that embraces the LGBTQ+ community and stands up against bigots. We strongly urge every CT Republican to reach out to Jadon and share your outrage.
The CT House of Representatives includes members and staff who are members of the LGBTQ+ community and it is sickening to think that this candidate wants to spew this kind of poison in the people’s chamber.
I’m sure Jadon will keep howling at the moon. Northeastern CT is smart enough not to listen."

In January of 2027 Trump’s massive cuts to Medicaid and Medicare will begin. Every redetermination, every work requirement, every cut in healthcare subsidies (premium tax credits) is each designed to deprive hundreds of thousands their health insurance.

Today, there were two ribbon-cuttings in Vernon. One was for JohnSandras Re-Originals, an antique and collectibles shop. across the street from Town Hall at 19 West Main Street in Rockville.
The other opening was for Toor Wine and Liquor at 212 Talcottville Road.
Democratic councilpersons Jeremy Geller, Mary Ann Levesque and Phyllis Winkler attended both openings.

Democrats Reduces Mayor’s Budget by $109,940.

The reduction came from staggering new hires. The effect of the budget reduction is mitigated by the length of time it takes to do a search for new employees.

This is a summary of the budget that will be considered at the annual town meeting on April 28th.
