Congratulations to our newest North Tooele Firefighters!

Today we celebrated the Tooele County Fire Academy 2026 graduating class. These firefighters, along with those from Tooele County Fire, Tooele City Fire, Grantsville Fire, Stockton Fire, and Vernon Fire marked the end of a 6 month journey that started as strangers, continued as cadets, and ended as firefighters. Somewhere along that line, they became something even more significant. Family.

Congratulations Firefighters. Now go clean the truck. 😉

It is that time of year to remember our Veterans buried in our Vernon cemetery . The Veteran Committee will be putting flags up Friday, May 22 at 7 pm. The YOUTH in our good town are helping us. Everyone young and old like me are sure welcome to come help too.
Many hands make light work. Fun too. Thank you.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
SECOND PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Vernon Town will hold a public hearing to discuss the project that was applied for in the CDBG Small Cities Program in Program Year 2026 . Project- Reconstruction of North Main Street. Comments will be solicited on project scope, implementation and its effects on residents. The hearing will begin at 7:00 P.M. on May 7,2026 and will be held 325 South Main Street Vernon UT 84080 . Further information such as a copy of the proposed application can be obtained by contacting Mayor John Olson at 435.830.9186.

It’s that time of year again dumpster days are here will be having dumpsters from 4/16 - 4/23
Please just like every year do not overfill them. Do not put refrigerators or tires we do get charged for that stuff .
