🚨 Missing person search underway 🚨

Vernon police and fire are currently out searching for Eileen Fisher. Elderly female with dementia was last seen by her husband walking and the rails-to-trails in the area of Maple Ave and Tankerhoosen. She is believed to be wearing a light gray shirt with black pants. If anyone sees Eileen please call Vernon PD. In the meantime, please remain vigilant!

EDIT: There is no Republican Primary in Vernon.

Vernon Elections Division will be holding a special voter registration session on July 24, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm at our office, Center 375, 375 Hartford Turnpike, Room 117, Vernon. This session is for all New voters wishing to register or for those eligible to enroll in the Democratic Party for the August 11 Primary.

The Town of Vernon will be holding a Primary on August 11th 2026 for all registered Democrats.

Absentee ballots will be available from the Town Clerk’s office, Town Hall, 14 Park Place, Vernon.

Early Voting will take place at Center 375:

August 3 10:00am until 6:00pm
August 4 8:00am until 8:00pm
August 5 10:00am until 6:00pm
August 6 8:00am until 8:00pm
August 7 10:00am until 6:00pm
August 8 10:00am until 6:00pm
August 9 10:00am until 6:00pm

Regular voting on August 11th will take place at your normal school voting location from 6:00am until 8:00pm.
