I’m excited to share that I’m running for Connecticut State Representative here in Vernon’s 56th District.
Vernon has always been home. I went through Vernon public schools, graduated from Rockville High School, served on the Vernon Town Council, and have tried to give back to the town that gave so much to me. I’m a third-generation Vernon resident, and Yuqi and I are proud to be raising our family here as the fourth generation.
A lot of my public service started with local infrastructure and town government. I served on the Water Pollution Control Facility Committee from 2014 to 2019, then as Chair from 2019 to 2023 during the town’s latest major facility upgrade. That experience taught me a lot about responsible planning, asking the right questions, and remembering that every decision ultimately affects taxpayers.
My professional background has also shaped how I look at government. I’ve spent more than 12 years working in one of Connecticut’s largest healthcare systems, in roles involving public health, operations, analytics, innovation, technology, budgets, and change management. I’ve had to balance complicated needs, limited resources, and real-world impacts on people, and I think that experience matters.
I’m running because Connecticut is getting harder to afford, and too many families, seniors, and small businesses are feeling squeezed. I believe Vernon deserves a practical voice in Hartford who will focus on lower costs, strong schools, responsible government, and keeping our town a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
To qualify for public campaign funding, we need 150 donations from Vernon residents. Even $5 makes a difference and helps show that this campaign has real support here in town.
