The Vernon Fire Department wishes to express our deepest condolences on the passing of Parsipany Troy-Hills District 6 Firefighter Jim Lukashuk. Jim was a past member of Vernon Fire and will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Last night while the town was sleeping, members of VTFD were dispatched to West Milford to assist at a junk yard fire. Truck 1 operated on scene while Tanker 1 helped with the water shuttle. It was a long night with most of the responding members making it back just in time to head to work.
If you have trouble sleeping at night stop by on a Monday night for an application.
