Recently, we connected with a family at Bumblebee Academy who was looking for the right place for their daughter’s hair cut. Families of children with developmental disabilities can have great success when they find the right environment and the right support.

It turns out, Bumblebee Academy was the perfect place for a haircut! One of our amazing board members, Shawn Venazio, happens to be a talented stylist who was able to come to the school and make this experience fun and light, while giving her a cute cut. 😍

We are so happy this was such a positive experience! The success of this experience has our wheels turning to plan a salon day in the future…stay tuned! 💇🏽‍♂️💇🏻‍♀️

We're always excited to get an update on our sponsored gardening program at Bumblebee Academy! 👩‍🌾🌿

Learners supported the transition of the garden beds as harvesting came to an end with vegetables such as corn and the bloom of some flowers before the summer bugs ate their leaves. 🌽🌼 Learners helped replant plants and removing weeds around the playground.
