On Wednesday 8/19/2026, the City of Vero Beach Water and Sewer Department issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice (PNWN) at 8:02 am for the following homes:

180, 181, 190, 191 Oleander Way.

201, 210, 220, 221 Turtle Way

240, 241, 250, 251, 261, 270, 281, 290, 291, 300, 310, 320, 321, 330, 331, 340, 341, 350, 351, 361, 371, 380, 381, 390 Sabal Palm Ln

The outage was due to a fire hydrant that needed to be replaced along with 6-inch T and a 4-inch reducer. All the work was done the same morning, and water service was restored by 10:58 am. Precautionary boil water notices were delivered to residents of all affected homes.

Bacteriological testing of the water was conducted for two consecutive days and the laboratory results came back satisfactory. Consequently, the PBWN is no longer necessary. So, it has been lifted.

Beginning August 17, 2026, Florida Power & Light (FPL) will be working along 14th Avenue between 21st Street and 19th Place to remove and replace the existing streetlights.

FPL estimates the project duration to be four weeks. During this time, various parking and lane closures are expected. The closures will be minimized as best as possible to successfully accomplish the work.

The City of Vero Beach Water and Sewer Department issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice (PNWN) today, Monday, 8/03/2026 at 10:06 am for the following five homes:

1705 Ocean Dr.

915, 925, 935, 945, 955, 965 Marigold Lane.

And 1722 Club Dr.

The outage was due to a break on a 2.5-inch PVC water main that was accidentally hit by a contractor. The break was repaired and water service was restored by 10:50 am.

Precautionary boil water notices were delivered to all affected homes. Bacteriological sampling has started. Customers will be notified when the PBWN is lifted

2515, 2525, 2535, 2545, 2555 Vero Beach Avenue

The outage was due to a break on a 2.5-inch PVC water line. The break was repaired and water service was restored by 7:30 pm on the same day.

Precautionary boil water notices were delivered to all affected homes. Bacteriological sampling has started. Customers will be notified when the PBWN is lifted.

The City of Vero Beach Water and Sewer Department issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice (PNWN) yesterday, 7/20/2026 at 5:00 am for the following homes on Atlantic Blvd and Bonita Avenue. That was due to an 8-inch cast iron main that broke on Cordova Avenue and Victory Blvd.

2706, 2715, 2716, 2725, 2726, 2735, 2736, 2745, 2805, 2806, 2815, 2816, 2825, 2826, 2835, 2836, 2905, 2906, 2915, 2916 Atlantic Blvd.

2306, 2326, 2336, 2346, 2356, 2376 Bonita Avenue

The outage was due to a leak on an 8-inch Cast iron water line. The break was repaired and water service was restored by 10:00 am on Tuesday 7/21/2026.

Precautionary boil water notices were delivered to all affected homes. Bacteriological sampling has started. Customers will be notified when the PBWN is lifted.

17th Street / Alma Lee Loy Bridge - July 4th Holiday Weekend

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will open all lanes on the 17th Street / Alma Lee Loy Bridge over the July 4th holiday weekend. FDOT will reinstall the single lane closures the week of Monday July 6.
