The Water Pollution Control Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the sewage treatment plants, pump stations, and sanitary trunk sewer and interceptor lines. Residents pay a separate sewer usage fee based on water usage, billed and collected by either Oakmont Water or Wilkinsburg Penn Joint Water Authority, whoever supplies the drinking water.
