Coming to Verona, Mississippi — Now Accepting Applications May 1, 2026!
I am proud to announce the expansion of two impactful mentorship programs to the City of Verona and surrounding communities.
Originally launched in Oxford in 2018, Diamonds in the Rough (ages 9–14) and Sisters in Law (ages 14–20) have successfully guided and empowered young women through structured mentorship, life skills development, and leadership training.
Participants will meet once or twice per week, depending on the program schedule.
• In Diamonds in the Rough, young girls will learn how to manage emotions, practice proper etiquette, address bullying, and recognize predatory behaviors.
• As they advance into Sisters in Law, the focus shifts to personal development and real-world preparation, including hygiene, professional presentation, effective communication, financial literacy, critical thinking, and more.
These programs are designed to cultivate confident, capable young women by exposing them to diverse career paths such as aviation, executive protection, law enforcement, entrepreneurship, and skilled trades.
I am excited to bring these proven programs to the young ladies of Verona and nearby areas. Parents are encouraged to register their daughters beginning May 1, 2026, at Verona City Hall.
Together, we can inspire the next generation of leaders.
