Candidate filing for the August 4, 2026 Primary Election will begin Tuesday, February 24th at 8:00 am and run through Tuesday, March 31st at 5:00 pm.

Offices open for filings are: Presiding Commissioner, Circuit Clerk, Associate Circuit Judge, County Clerk, Recorder of Deeds, Prosecuting Attorney, Collector, Treasurer, and Township Committeemen/women for the Republican and Democratic parties.

You will need to bring in a completed 5120 form or an email showing you filed online, your driver’s license, and the $100 filing fee (Committeemen/women do not need to pay the filing fee).

MORGAN COUNTY 2026 PLAT BOOKS & WALL MAPS FOR SALE!!

The Morgan County Clerk’s Office and the Morgan County Assessor’s Office, with Mapping Solutions has put out a new 2026 Plat Book. This spiral-bound book features the standard landownership map pages showing townships and ranges within Morgan County, including property boundaries for all rural parcels. Along with landownership maps are the new enhanced LiDAR aerial view maps that show a 3D-like topographical look at the local land.

This new edition includes an updated Morgan County Government Directory, Fire District Map, School District Map, Political Township with Commissioners’ Districts Map, Special Road District Map, and so much more.

This information is valuable to anyone interested, particularly those who own land in Morgan County. Prospective or adjoining property owners, hunters, foresters, timber and petroleum industry personnel, emergency services and many others could benefit from this valuable information.

The 2026 Morgan County MO Plat Book is available for purchase for $40.00 and the 2026 Wall Maps are $45.00 at the Morgan County Clerk’s office located at 100 East Newton Street, Room 23.

If you live in the Morgan County R-I School District (Stover School) or the State Fair Community College District (a small portion of the Florence area) you have something to vote on! No matter how big or small the election, YOUR VOTE COUNTS! If you are unsure if you have something to vote on, please call our office at 573-378-5436. Polls are open from 6:00 am- 7:00 pm.

The Morgan County Clerk's Office is open today, November 1st from 8:00-12:00 in the Courthouse for voting! If you are in the Stover School District or State Fair Community College District you have something to vote on!

Good morning! Department of Revenue was supposed to have gotten this letter out to all businesses at the beginning of August. I had them email it to me so I could send it to anyone needing it. If you would like me to also email it to you please send me your email address! Thank you!

PLEASE READ!
As I was reading the newspaper today I noticed a few wrong pieces of information in the Ivy Bend News. The first wrong thing is that the Ivy Bend Food Pantry will open at 7:00 am for voters. They will actually be open and ready for voters at 6:00 am and will be open until 7:00 pm. The second wrong thing is about Ivy Bend residents not being able to vote on Morgan County R-I School issues or candidates. If you vote at the Ivy Bend Food Pantry there is a very small section that votes on Camdenton School issues/members and not Morgan County R-I School. Everyone else is able to vote on Morgan County R-I School issues if you are registered to vote. This is the first election the Morgan County R-I School has had since 2021 so for the years in between there hasn't been anything to vote on. The only thing unusual about this is the article with the wrong information. If you are unsure of something or do not know the answer please feel free to contact our office anytime at 573-378-5436 instead of spreading information that is wrong. We are more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

LESS THAN A WEEK UNTIL ELECTION DAY! Make plans to go to your polling place next Tuesday, April 8 and make your voice heard! The polls are open from 6:00 am- 7:00 pm. If you are unable to make it next Tuesday or just want to absentee vote please come in to our office at the Morgan County Courthouse in Versailles and vote! Our office will also be open this Saturday, April 5 from 8:00 am- 12:00 pm.

Everyone has something to vote on this election! Please exercise your right and go vote!
