🔴 Thunderstorms overnight have the potential to produce locally heavy rainfall, with rates up to 2 inches per hour overnight tonight into Thursday morning. If storms linger, localized amounts of 3-5 inches and flash flooding are possible. This threat is greatest in the Flash Flood Watch area.

🥵 Heat index values of 110+ are likely this afternoon for most of Missouri.

🥵 The Extreme Heat Warning has been extended into Tuesday across parts of southeast Missouri, and further extensions may be needed.

A system will bring several chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Saturday, with the greatest chances (40-70%) being Friday night into Saturday morning, generally north of Highway 60. While areas that see repeated rainfall may experience localized flooding, some areas may remain pretty dry through the weekend.
