Construction on Perry Street will recommence on Monday, June 1 as part of a Community Crossings Matching Grant project. Relocation of the electric poles out of the roadway to the outside of the sidewalk took place last fall

The rest of this project includes:

- Upgrading stormwater drainage
- Widening the road to allow for street parking without blocking traffic
- New sidewalks
- Freshly repaved roadway

Water and sewer lines will also be replaced while the road is under construction.

Dave O’Mara Contractors will complete the remainder of the project.

Please follow all signage and be alert for workers in the area.

Thank you for your patience as we work to make Perry Street safer, more functional, and better for everyone in our community!

The Town of Versailles is excited to welcome tournaments back to the Tyson Memorial Sports Complex! This past weekend, we hosted 20 teams from Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. With the rain last week, it was a joint effort between the Town, Versailles Rec Baseball/Softball, and USSSA to get the fields ready for the two-day tournament.

Winners this weekend were as follows:
- 10U: Franklin Youth Baseball
- 12U: Versailles Canes
- 14U: Marucci Prospects

In speaking with local restaurants and business owners, the influx of families attending the tournament resulted in increased business and sales at their establishments. We are excited to hear this and look forward to bringing more of these tournaments to Versailles to boost the local economy.

We’re proud to announce Versailles has been recognized as one of 28 communities as a 2026 International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) Trail Town!

The IMBA Trail Town designation recognizes communities that understand how trails support economic vitality, community health, and outdoor access. Trails are an important part of what makes Versailles such a great place to live, work, and play. We are grateful for our partnerships with Versailles State Park and Versailles State Park Mountain Bikers that help Versailles lead with trails.

IMBA Trail Towns demonstrate strong trail infrastructure, a commitment to trail funding, an active local trail organization, a culture of community engagement, and a sustainable trail stewardship plan.

The Town of Versailles Street Department has been working diligently to clear snow throughout the community. Crews began operations Saturday evening and worked the maximum allowable overtime hours to keep up with the ongoing snowfall.

As of this morning, all town streets were cleared to allow at least two lanes of traffic, and most alleys are passable. Parking lanes have been cleared where conditions allow. Operations have shifted to loading and hauling snow piles from streets to offsite locations to improve visibility at intersections.

Extreme temperatures and heavy equipment use have led to some mechanical issues, and additional contracted support has been brought in today to assist with snow removal.

Now that the red travel advisory has been lifted and traffic is increasing, we ask residents to remain alert, slow down, and give crews plenty of space to work safely. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
