It is with great sadness that we share with you that Shawn Negangard passed away early this morning Shawn was a long time leader in our public safety community, having served many years with the Osgood Volunteer Fire Department (OVFD), and also with Task Unit One. Shawn also served several years on the Board of Directors for the Southern Ripley County Life Squad (Rescue 69).

Shawn was a beloved member of our family, and of the fire and EMS community as a whole, and he is greatly missed. Funeral arrangements are pending, we will notify everyone when we have the information. Please keep all of Shawn's friends and family in your thoughts and in your prayers.

Tomorrow our 911 crew will clock in for the last time. I personally want to thank each and every employee for all the hard work and dedication that you have put into this organization throughout the 40 years that we have been serving Ripley County. Most importantly we couldn’t have done it without all the support from the wonderful people in our communities. We have met so many wonderful people along our journey .
