On Friday, September 11, 2026 we invite all emergency personnel—law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and 911 dispatchers—to enjoy a FREE drive-thru lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This is our small way of saying thank you for your service, your sacrifice and the protection you provide our communities every day.
We honor those we lost, remember the heroes of September 11, 2001, and remain deeply grateful for those who continue to serve. ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from the Versailles City Fire Department! 🎆

As you celebrate with family and friends this weekend, please keep these safety tips in mind:

🎇 Leave fireworks to responsible adults and always follow the instructions.
🪣 Keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby when using fireworks.
👧 Never allow children to handle or light fireworks.
🌾 Avoid lighting fireworks near dry grass, trees, or buildings.
🐾 Remember that fireworks can be stressful for pets—keep them indoors and secure.
🍔 If you’re grilling, keep it at least 10 feet away from your home, deck, or anything that can catch fire.
🚤 If you’re heading to the lake, wear a life jacket, stay sober while operating a boat, and keep an eye on swimmers.
🚗 If you’re celebrating with alcohol, plan for a sober ride home.

Most importantly, if you see smoke, fire, or an emergency, don’t hesitate to call 911.

🌷 Safety Reminders for May:
• Check and test your smoke alarms and replace batteries if needed
• Be cautious with outdoor burning—always follow local guidelines
• Stay alert while grilling and keep a safe distance from structures
• Keep an eye on changing weather conditions, especially storms

Our crew has been staying busy with ongoing training to sharpen our medical and fire response skills, ensuring we’re always ready when you need us most. From emergency response drills to community outreach, we’re committed to serving Versailles with professionalism and care.
