🚨 Public Service Announcement – Haverhill, NH 🚨

Tomorrow morning, Woodsville High School will be hosting a Mock Crash event to educate students about the dangers and real-life consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

This important training exercise will involve multiple emergency agencies, including:
• Haverhill Police Department
• Woodsville Fire Department
• Woodsville Ambulance
• DHART (Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team) as long as they are not busy transporting patients
• Grafton County Sheriff’s Office
• Ricker Funeral Home
• Cottage Hospital

🚁 What to Expect:
Residents should be aware of a heavy presence of emergency vehicles and a helicopter in the Woodsville area during the morning hours.

⚠️ Please Note: This is only a drill. There is no cause for alarm.

Last Thursday, we enjoyed hosting our tone-out partners, West Fairlee, for a vehicle extrication drill. Lessons were learned and fun was had. Volunteer with your local department, and you might get to play with some fancy tools too.

Sixteen volunteer firefighters have joined the Norwich department since 2020. At the firehouse, Vermont’s issues with declining volunteerism and its aging population seem far away.
