🚨 Public Service Announcement – Haverhill, NH 🚨

Tomorrow morning, Woodsville High School will be hosting a Mock Crash event to educate students about the dangers and real-life consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

This important training exercise will involve multiple emergency agencies, including:
• Haverhill Police Department
• Woodsville Fire Department
• Woodsville Ambulance
• DHART (Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team) as long as they are not busy transporting patients
• Grafton County Sheriff’s Office
• Ricker Funeral Home
• Cottage Hospital

🚁 What to Expect:
Residents should be aware of a heavy presence of emergency vehicles and a helicopter in the Woodsville area during the morning hours.

⚠️ Please Note: This is only a drill. There is no cause for alarm.

Thank you for your understanding as we work together to promote safety and awareness for our community’s youth.

Might be best to stick to toasting marshmallows this weekend. If you're thinking about anything bigger than a s'mores maker, you need to call one of these fellows first: Steve Ward (802) 685-2238, Vern Stone (802) 333-9317, or Howard Parker (802) 685-4470.

Good listen about volunteering in a local department. Thinking about volunteering in Vershire? Message here or stop by Ward's Garage to chat with our Chief. We'll be practicing vehicle extrication skills with our sweet battery operated Jaws-of-life next Thursday. Should be fun. . .

Sixteen volunteer firefighters have joined the Norwich department since 2020. At the firehouse, Vermont’s issues with declining volunteerism and its aging population seem far away.
