🎯 REPs are back!

Wednesday brought our first Rebel Engagement Period of the year! Each week, students sign up for the session that offers the intervention or enrichment they need based on their grades, missing work, upcoming assignments, and assessments.

But REPs aren’t just about catching up—they’re about choice, curiosity, and growth. Students get to exercise their minds in ways that match their needs, interests, and personal goals. 🧠💡

For our first REPs, students were busy:

✈️ Tackling a plane crash survival scenario in English with Dr. Walker
🔢 Exploring If…then statements in Honors Geometry with Mr. Eddleman
🗂️ Creating academic vocabulary flash cards for Geometry with Mrs. Mayhew
⌨️ Getting in 20 minutes of typing practice with Ms. Kouveras
🧬 Illustrating the characteristics of life in Biology with Ms. Little and Mrs. James
🦠 Practicing CER responses about viruses with Mr. Sonntag
📖 Watching an episode of Lord of the Flies with Ms. Roberson
📝 Getting in some Pre-ACT practice with Mrs. Hotten

After six days at the FC, freshmen and teachers are loving that back-to-school feeling! 💙❤️

From morning carpool 🚗 to hallway high-fives 👋, classroom conversations 📝, and plenty of learning in action 📚, the FC is buzzing with energy, excitement, and connection!

Our custodial crew has been hard at work this summer waxing floors, moving furniture, and ensuring all areas of the school are s**c and span so teachers and students return to a shiny buildings !
