🚒 Public Notice – Moorefield Community Fire Department 🚒
The Moorefield Community Fire Department would like to notify residents of Moorefield, Pleasant Township that the State of Indiana Department of Homeland Security–approved service charges have increased, in accordance with Indiana Code 36-8-12-16.
These charges apply to calls for service, which include but are not limited to:
• Fire responses (structure, vehicle, and wildland fires)
• Rescue responses (including auto extrication and rope rescue)
• Hazardous materials responses
• Gas leaks
• Fire alarms
Updated Fee Breakdown:
• Initial response: $500 per fire apparatus
• Initial response (command vehicle): $200 per vehicle
• Fire apparatus on scene: $400 per vehicle, per hour
• Command vehicle on scene: $200 per vehicle, per hour
• Expendable materials and cleanup agents: actual cost
• Debris removal, chemical use, and disposal: actual cost
As has been done in the past, the property owner’s insurance company is billed for these services when applicable.
This notice is being published as required under Indiana Code 36-8-12-16.
