Vicksburg Family Development Service In 1991 a mentoring component was added to serve girls, ages 10 – 18. A component for boys, Male Image, was added in 1994.

3.to promote positive life choices in at-risk youth. Since 1977, Vicksburg Family Development Service has served as a primary prevention, early intervention program whose purpose is to provide parents w

ith the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to promote positive outcomes for their children and themselves. Begun as a program that focused on the importance of the first years of life, Family Development continues to serve first or second time parents and their children prenatal to age four through its early intervention program.

Deputy Chief Tommy Curtis and his narcotic unit along with "Nadia" were guest speakers at Male Image substance misuse class.
Nadia demonstrated her remarkable skills when assisting the officers with detecting the location of drugs.
