The Vicksburg District Library is hiring a weekend Circulation Clerk at $13.73/hour or based on prior library experience. A Circulation Clerk serves patrons and completes circulation tasks. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

This is a part-time position focused on weekends: one Saturday each month and every other Sunday between Labor Day and Memorial Day.

Former or current library workers looking for extra part-time work are especially encouraged to apply. This position will remain open until the library hires a suitable candidate. Applicants are encouraged to apply soon.

We had so many friends visit our library this week! (Earning so many stamps for their lanyards 😉 ) Our LEGO/Duplo club left our cabinets full of wonderful creations; we learned so many cool facts about birds with Russ Schipper; and we made SOOO much slime at our Family STEAM night. Thank you to all who came — it was so much fun hanging out with you!

Need something to do during this evening's crummy weather? The library's adult craft bird-making workshop is a drop-in event at 5-7pm. Come and use a premade cloth bird body, fabric scraps, and glue to assemble a bird. All supplies are provided.

(Completed birds will be submitted to the official Bird Collisions project in Chicago.)

Premade bird bodies, bird photos, and a huge bag of fabric scraps await anyone who wants to decorate a bird for this project. All materials are provided. Bring your creativity - and a friend - to the drop-in workshop at 5-7pm on Wednesday, June 17.
