The goal of using Facebook by the Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD), including all of the schools in the District and teachers or sponsors associated with those schools, is to share important information with our public. To help us accomplish this goal we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:

-Engage in open conversation not personal issues. This page is not in

tended to circumvent regular communication channels for sharing personal issues and concerns. Comments regarding a personal issue with the District, a school or staff member will be removed.

-Be respectful. Personal attacks or comments that are deemed offensive to any member of our community will not be tolerated. Inappropriate remarks and profanity will be removed.

-Stay on topic. This is a page dedicated to the education of students in the VWSD. Let's keep the conversation related to our District, schools and activities. Comments of all kinds are welcome so long as they relate to our District, schools and activities.

-Have a question for a specific employee? Fans should not expect responses to every question or comment posted on this page.

-Be aware of the mission. The mission of the VWSD is education. Please be certain that your comments are appropriate for an educational environment and fans of all ages.

-Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. False information will be removed and factual information will be posted.

-We want you to feel comfortable sharing your views about the VWSD schools or activities. Just know, abuse of the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting or the blocking/removal from our fan page.

“VIS Beta Club Heads to Nationals!”

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Excitement filled the air at Vicksburg Intermediate School this morning as several Beta Club scholars boarded a charter bus and began their journey to Nashville, Tennessee, where they will compete in the 2026 National Beta Convention.

The National Beta Convention is the premier annual gathering of Beta members from across the nation, bringing together thousands of students who exemplify the organization’s pillars of achievement, character, leadership, and service. Throughout the week, students will compete in a variety of academic, leadership, STEM, visual arts, and performing arts events while participating in leadership development opportunities and networking with fellow Beta members from across the United States.

The VIS Beta Club earned the opportunity to compete on the national stage following an outstanding year of achievement and success at the state level. The students have spent countless hours preparing for their events and are eager to showcase their talents and represent their school, community, and state.

“Our students have worked incredibly hard to reach this level of competition, and we could not be more proud of them,” said Mrs. Kimberley King, VIS Beta Club Head Sponsor. “This experience is about much more than winning awards. It is an opportunity for our scholars to grow as leaders, build confidence, develop new friendships, and demonstrate the excellence that exists within Vicksburg Intermediate School. We are excited to watch them compete and shine on the national stage.”

As the scholars make their way to Nashville, the VIS family asks parents, alumni, community members, and supporters to join in wishing them safe travels, focused minds, and a successful week of competition.

These students are not only representing Vicksburg Intermediate School, they join Warren Central Intermediate School Beta Club in representing the Vicksburg Warren School District, the City of Vicksburg and the State of Mississippi with pride, determination, and excellence.
