OPEN BUILD, THURSDAY NOV. 2ND @ 5:30PM

What's the difference between a major key and a minor key? What sound do you get when you combine a square wave with a sawtooth wave? How do you program a computer to play piano? We'll be exploring all of these questions this month in the Makerspace as we build and program our own electronic instrument!

Everything with the smart house plants are wrapping up, and we will be keeping one at the Driggs library. Stop by to check it out and stay tuned for info about how to check its sensors and follow it on Twitter!

COME TO OPEN BUILD, THURSDAYS AT 5:30, IN DRIGGS!

Ever wish that your house plants could remind you when they're getting dried out? Or that they could tell you how much light they're really getting? Maybe you've even thought it would be nice to water them on the go with your phone if you forget.

This month in the Driggs Makerspace, we'll be using the Internet of Things, some basic electronics and an app that we create to make all of those things possible with a WiFi plant monitoring station. Come learn about building, coding, app building and more, Thursdays at 5:30, all October long!

Remembering the total solar eclipse at the library...

Thank you so much to all those who participated in the past two weeks' Eclipse Build project, building two Raspberry Pi powered camera telescopes! These will be a great resource for the library, for the eclipse and for years to come.

Make sure to stop in next week for our IoT Weather Station build. There will be tiny computers, sensors, soldering, coding, Internet of Things, and more! Tasks will be available for most skill levels, and there will be tons to see and learn, so all ages are welcome. Stop by to take a look while you check out books, or stay to see the build through, start to finish.

This Thursday, August 10th at 5:30PM!
