😀 Introducing Carson Patterson, who turned his life around with the help of Victoria College. After dropping out of high school, he decided to make a change and pursue his dreams. Carson recently earned his GED and is now working towards a PC & Local Area Network Technician Certificate, with plans to complete an Associate of Applied Science in Network Engineering Technology and Cloud Concepts, and eventually a bachelor's degree. His inspiring story shows that with dedication and support, anyone can achieve their goals.

Carson Patterson went from having his head in the clouds to paving the way for a career in the clouds.

"I wasn't going anywhere with my life, and I needed to start going in the right direction," said Carson, who dropped out of high school in the eleventh grade. "I quit drinking and hanging around the party people. Ever since then, my life has been going on a good path."

Carson recently earned his GED and is now on track to earn a PC & Local Area Network Technician Certificate in May. He plans to continue on to complete the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Network Engineering Technology and Cloud Concepts and then move on to a bachelor's degree program.

👉 Introducing Amy Chavez, a true fighter who pushed through adversity and achieved success with the help of Victoria College. After starting with VC's Adult Education and Literacy program to earn her GED, she graduated with a Business Management Certificate in 2017 and an Associate of Science degree in 2020. She even joined the National Adult Education Honor Society! Amy's story shows that VC is a valuable resource for those looking to improve their lives through education.

Meet Amy Chavez. When push came to shove, Amy Chavez shoved back. Hard.

Chavez, who now works at A&A Bail Bonds in Victoria, began the process of earning a GED by taking VC's Adult Education and Literacy classes. She not only graduated with a Business Management Certificate in 2017 and an Associate of Science degree three years later, but she was also inducted into the National Adult Education Honor Society.

Chavez is living proof that no matter the circumstances, VC is always an option to transition into a higher learning environment and to never say “never.”

➡️ Hey folks, here's what you need to know about the projects included in the upcoming Victoria College Bond: The bond will fund the construction of a Student Success Center, which will be a three-story expansion and renovation of the current facility.

➡️ The new center will be a central and easily accessible location for learning services, support services, and enrollment services.
It will also include infrastructure enhancements, such as improving roads, walkways, signage, and parking.

➡️ The library, which was constructed in 1975 and has the highest energy usage of any building on campus, will be demolished. The cost of remodeling the facility outweighs the benefits. Let's support the Victoria College Bond to help fund these important projects for our community!
